Nemeth Law attorneys discuss timely labor and employment topics

| Detroit, MI

Attorneys with Detroit-based management side labor and employment law firm Nemeth Law, P.C., have been making timely presentations during the second quarter of 2022 on labor and employment topics impacting employers:

  • On June 17, Nemeth Law senior attorney Nicholas Huguelet was a co-presenter at the Michigan Defense Trial Counsel’s (MDTC) annual meeting and conference on the topic of “The Long Haul Impact of COVID-19 on Employment Law.” Huguelet discussed some of the changes that took place during the pandemic and how the pandemic’s concerns may continue to affect employers and employees in the future. Managing partner Deborah Brouwer, who is currently the MDTC’s immediate past president, opened the conference with welcoming remarks on June 16. The two-day event focused on “What’s New in 2022: A Defense-Specific Discussion on Adapting to an Ever-Changing Legal Landscape.”
  • On May 25, partner Terry Bonnette spoke on recent changes in employment law to the Health Care Association of Michigan and Michigan Center for Assisted Living (HCAM/MAL) in Marquette, Michigan. His “HR & Employment Law Update” discussed the labor shortage in the healthcare industry and focused on three areas: Recruitment and Retention Post COVID-19; Recognizing and Responding to Requests for Accommodation Post COVID; and Gender Discrimination and Sexual Harassment Claims Post Me-Too.
