Nemeth Law attorneys discuss timely labor and employment topics in third quarter 2017

Attorneys with Detroit-based management side labor and employment law firm Nemeth Law, P.C., made several presentations during the third quarter of 2017. The discussions covered a variety of employment law topics:

  • Partner Terry Bonnette delivered a presentation on Social Media and Patients’ Rights at the Health Care Association of Michigan (HCAM) and Michigan Center for Assisted Living (MCAL) Annual Convention, which took place September 18-20 in Grand Rapids, Mich.
  • Partner Anne Widlak served as the moderator of a panel entitled “Excuse Me…I Think I Am Allergic to Your Service Animal” at the Annual Meeting of the National Association of Minority and Women Owned Law Firms (NAMWOLF), which was held in New York City September 17-20. Panel members discussed best practices for managing competing rights in the workplace.
  • Nemeth Law was a supporting sponsor of the American Society of Employers (ASE) Employment Law Workshop on August 17. Partner Terry Bonnette led an afternoon breakout session, My Employee Won’t Work Saturdays. What Do I Do? at the VisTaTech Center in Livonia, Mich.
  • Partners Patricia Nemeth and Terry Bonnette presented Managing Religious Discrimination Claims to a large commercial insurance provider in Pittsburgh on July 19.

In addition, Michigan Lawyers Weekly interviewed partner Terry Bonnette on the topic of competing rights in the workplace.  The article, “Employers face competing rights conflicts in workplace–questions arise when workers’ beliefs raise concern,” appeared in the September 14 issue. Partner Deborah Brouwer was also interviewed on the topic by WWJ Radio in August.
